Abuela's – Delete Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Abuela's account and associated data.
Request account deletion
Email us from the email address associated with your Abuela's account:
- Email: support@abuelas.app
- Subject:
Delete my Abuela's account - Include: the phone number on the account (if applicable) and your full name
If you can't email from your account email, include enough information for us to verify ownership.
What we delete
When your deletion request is verified and processed, we delete or de-identify:
- Your profile information (e.g., name, photo, bio, saved preferences)
- Your account identifiers used by our app (e.g., email/phone used for login)
- Your in-app chat access associated with your account (where applicable)
- Other user-linked data stored for your account that is not required for legal or safety reasons
What we may retain
We may retain certain records for a limited time if needed for: legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, safety, or required accounting.
- Order and transaction records (may be retained for compliance and bookkeeping)
- Safety/complaint reports and related logs (may be retained for safety and compliance)
Where we retain records, we aim to minimize personal data and/or de-identify it when feasible.
Timing
We typically process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required for legal or safety purposes as described above.
Partial deletion (optional)
Abuela's does not currently offer partial deletion of specific data categories without deleting the account. If you have a special request, contact us at support@abuelas.app.
